Product Feature: Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head 60th Anniversary MASHLY IN LOVE Set

The first “potato head” did not actually come with the potato body part, it only came with the face pieces and parents had to provide their own potato for their kids to stick the parts into.  Imagine the problems they received when kids punctured these sharp objects into anything they could find!

Fast forward to 2012, Playskool (a brand of Hasbro) has recently released Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head 60th anniversary Mashly In Love Set with their now kid-friendly parts and accessories.  This is a classic toy that belongs in every child’s toy box with the fun of wedding accessories like a top hat for Mr. Potato Head and a headband for Mrs. Potato Head.  It is an educational toy that can help teach eyes, nose, mouth, etc. Its fun to pop off the parts and see your child’s reaction, until they try to pop off your own nose!  It’s a good toy to help learn how to put things back together again.  The pieces are large and rounded making it impossible for your child to puncture your potatoes!

The Mr. Potato Head body comes with an arm with a wedding band, 2 ears, mouth, pants with feet, top hat, eyes, nose, mustache and bow tie.  The Mrs. Potato Head body comes with 1 pair of arms holding hands, headband, lips with teeth, arm, nose, eyes, hair, 2 ears and pants with feet.  The Mashly In Love set is appropriate for children ages 2 years and up, retails for about $14.99 and can be purchased through various retailers like Toys R Us, HasbroToyShop.com, Target, Walmart, and Kmart.

This is so cute! I always loved Mr. Potato Head when I was a kid. Glad to know they’re still around (and married!).
